To truly sharpen a blade correctly, and hone it to a razor edge, is a skill that has been best left to the experts in the field for many years. Warthog wanted to give people at home the ability to give their knives a professional edge without having to take it to an expert. Taking the skills from these craftsmen, Warthog has created something truly exceptional: a range of patented diamond sharpeners that give your knives an unmatched edge.

Most home sharpeners actually destroy your knives. It may seem like you are giving the blade a fine edge but in reality you are tearing it to pieces. A well-made knife is a long-term investment for many people, and, whether you are in the kitchen, fishing or hunting, you want to protect that blade for as long as possible. Using normal home sharpening systems often tear, shred and maul the fine edge of a knife.

The Warthog Difference

The blade edge, and only the blade edge, is honed with a Warthog Sharpener. You get a consistent edge with no damage to the edge itself or the transition between the edge and blade-body. Your sharp edge lasts much longer and there is no deterioration of the blade; this means you can count on that blade for many years to come.

For over 10 years Warthog Blade Sharpeners has been manufacturing and exporting high quality diamond knife sharpeners. Warthog was established in 1999 with the goal of creating an innovative world-first knife sharpener that delivered better results than any competitor on the market..

Treat your blades with the respect and care they deserve. We have conducted extensive research into various types of blade sharpeners and the results may shock you. Microscopic photos of edges show just how much damage traditional sharpeners can do. If term care and blade maintenance is your priority, only have one choice – Warthog.

The secret to getting a perfect knife edge is to maintain a constant angle between the blade and the sharpener. This is almost impossible to do by hand and most sharpeners try to solve this problem with clamping devices. But setting up the sharpener and clamping the blade in place takes a lot of time.

Warthog’s patented system ensures that your knives get the same fine edge, every time and without a time consuming set up.

Warthog Logo's

You may be somewhat surprised to see the attached photo of an original vintage Warthog sharpener in use with a pair of hair salon scissors. Can’t remember when or where I bought it, probably late 1970’s or early 1980’s. It sharpened many many knives & I retired it & used something else.

I did buy the latest Warthog Multisharp & another Warthog product with an X-configuration of two narrow diamond stones. I advertised sharpening of knives, scissors and was happily surprised when a large busy pet grooming parlour started giving me their shears.

There was quite a learning curve getting hair salon scissors sharp. I was most fortunate in picking up an Arkansas transluscent stone in a pawnshop & use that to finish scissors to stellar sharpness. I did update my vintage Warthog with a new black angle setting clamp & ball rod guide but other than that it’s a basic vintage Warthog.

I write to say how impressed I am with the sharpener’s results esp since the device must now be at least some forty years old & having seen regular use.

This email serves a letter of appreciation for the commitment and service that I have received from Antoinette and all others involved regarding the plastic shoe. I look forward to receiving it.

From when I purchased the first Warthog Classic ii Sharpener (2012), I was very impressed with it and, have since bought at least 5 in total. One for our kitchen at home, one stays in our camping/hunting equipment and others I have bought as gifts for family and friends.

The first sharpener I bought was a Lansky (which I still have), nonetheless, the Warthog Classic ii’s setup and functionality is so convenient and practical that anyone can use it and get a sharp edge.

Although I have weakness for good knives, since purchasing the warthog sharpener, my philosophy regarding working/everyday knives is, instead of spending money on top-end knives, rather buy a Warthog sharpener and spend money on mid to lower-end knives. The mid to lower-end knives may not hold an edge like top-end knives. However, using the warthog sharpener, is so quick and easy to get a sharp edge on the knife again.

Thank you once again for the service and commitment.
